Lower Spine Disc Surgery Clarifications

2020-02-27 07:09:15
My mom happened to injure her lower spine during my childhood days... Probably over 20 years ago. She was undergoing Ayurvedic treatments since then. Now that recently she happened to slip her feet and fell on her back to the ground resulting in having more pain to her lower spine. Having said that, I took my mom to another well known ayurvedic doc as per her comfort who advised to get an MRI and blood tests done for further treatments, however I took a second opinion with an allopathy doc to know more about this issue and that the doc adviced for couple of more tests post that a surgery is recommended to get the lower spine disc fixed with a medical tool installed to the spine. Can any of the doc specialized in Spinal Care & Surgery advice, if this surgery is really going to help her out and that it doesn't impact her body movements on the long run?
