Sir My father is suffering with low hb value. For such he is diagnosed with Capsule video endoscopy, Bone marrow , FOBT, at Asian institute of gastroenterology, Hyderabad. All those reports are said to be normal by the doctor.Then after Hb electrophoresisby HPCL,LDH,Serum for ferratin , are done.What does the issue with such and it's consequences.

He needs to be seen by a gastroenterologist who will do an upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy if these have not yet been done. Hb of 7.5 may or may not require blood transfusion or iron injections- treating physician has to decide based on clinical examination.
