Loud sound can cause hearing issue

I have a two month old baby, recently he has been exposed to extremely loud sound of that of a stone cutting machine as there is work going on in neighborhood. Has that sound affected his hearing ability since he is cranky after that incident .

Hi... Nothing would happen like that.. He may be cranky for some other reason.. If you are still in doubt you can visit a ENT surgeon or audiologist nearby for hearing screening...
