Loose yellow stool for 2 months old baby
Hello doctor, our baby is 2 months old weighing 5.5 kg. He is passing loose stools with bright yellow colour from past 8 days. He is passing stool after each feed with lot of gas.
We took stool routine in which there are plenty of pus cells formed and mucus also present and it is in acidic nature, reducing substance is also absent.
Doctor is it worrisome what can be done ?
We will be visiting the pediatrician at the earliest. Is antibiotics given for any infection safe for 2 months old baby.
Will be getting stool culture in 4 days
He has got congested nose very very stuffy. Is this the sign of dehydration.
Hi if ur kid is on exclusive breast feeds ..it btr to wait if kid is active,afebrile,accepting feeds well.If kid is on bottle feeding then due to improper hygeine measures he might have had gi infection...in this case if child is dull,having abnormal temperature,low food intake and low urine output needs doctor consultation immediately
