I understand.
Consider a situation when everything seems to be perfect. You will realize that thoughts of anxiety, apprehension and worry will still plague you. Such is the nature of the mind. It is so because, ever since you were born until now, you would have come across situations that are unpredictable, scary, challenging and anxiety provoking. Mind is the faculty that collects data through all the sense organs based on your experiences. From time to time, a piece of data is randomly picked from this and brought to your attention. This is what we call a thought.
Hence, in any situation, it is natural that such thoughts will come to you.
It is an inherent part of being human.
Having said that, I want you to know that you have the power to choose which thought you wish to focus on and act on. Practice being an observer of your thoughts without labeling or judging them and then exercise your power to focus only on those worthy enough to be acted upon.
You must be aware of the fact that the thoughts that you harbor and entertain and thereby the emotions that you experience has an impact on your child. Whatever you feed your mind through your sense organs - eyes, ears, nose, mouth and touch(skin) - will be replayed to you as thoughts. Be conscious of this and make sure that you feed noble, positive, inspiring, motivational content to your mind. I want both of you to consciously make sure that you don't deprive yourselves of all the joy that you truly deserve to celebrate now. Pamper yourselves the way you deserve to be pampered. Whenever thoughts of anxiety loom over the horizon remind yourselves of the precious gift you have and turn them into moments of celebration and rejoicing.
This will also pass. Take ownership of these precious moments.
You are going to do just fine.
Take care.
