Linagliptin 2.5 twice daily is same effective as linagliptin 5 mg once daily? is it more potent than other dpp4 inhavitors?is it true that  dpp4 is  modest effective while glimipiride is more effective. Which is best line treatment DPP4 or glimipiride?

No 5mg is more stronger than 2.5. Treatment should be individualised. Glimi and lina both have different mechanism of action. Yes Glimi is sulphonylurea and more stronger but at the same time can cause hypoglycemia. Among Dpp4 the action is nearly same clinically as DPP4 can reduce HbA1c 0.6-0.8 so practically action is somewhat similar among all DPP4 inhibitors
