My friend's father has been diagnosed with 4th stage throat cancer and is suggested for chemotherapy and radiation therapy please state the chances of he being fully cured.
If it's fourth stage chances of being fully cured are less, to be blunt chance of 5 year survival not more than 50%... However to exactly suggest about chances would need an access to disease status, histology, patient general condition etc

Prognosis of throat malignancy depends on lot of factors. Area of involvement, general condition of the patient, primary site of malignancy, lymph node involvement, distant metastasis etc. So all these details are necessary to comment on life expectancy in these patients
