Left testicular pain
Dull pain in my left testicle that has refused to resolve completely even after series of antibiotics treatment. My GP had diagnosed epidimytis through physical exam and had recommended treatment with 1gx 3days ceftriaxone(IM) with levoflaxacin 750mg per day for 9 days and with pain relievers. The bacteria that was seen in urine culture was very scanty E-coli. Please why has the problem not resolved completely?
It would take a longer time for the epididymitis to get healed. You may have to take Levofloxacin 750mg tablets for 4 weeks. if there is no increase in the size of the testes or no pain on pressure, you can wait. After completing the antibiotics, then repeat a urine culture test. if the culture is still positive, then look for a cause like bladder outflow obstruction or stones in urinary tract
