Left side headache and ear pain

Dear Sir/Madam, My husband underwent angioplasty and stent on sep 11. He walked for 5 minutes today, after that got severe headache and ear pain in the left side and it lasts for 5 minutes. After taking rest, he became normal. May I know the reason for this pain? Does he require more time to recover? Thanks in advance
