The size of the renal cyst has increased over the years. Renal cyst may be simple or complex and are reported according to bosniak classification. In simple cyst the indication of intervention is severe pain affecting the daily activity and very large cyst causing compression on nearby structures. For mild pain paracetamol can be taken when required. Complex cysts require further investigations to rule out malignancy and are closely followed up.
