I will never advise for LASIK for -1.5d & -0.5 d , there is lots of advantage in later life if You are Myopic by upto -2 d which lasix surgeon will never tell you . you may use contact lens usually .

the percentage of lasik  complications is very nominal. the worst complications are flap related both on the part of surgeon and patients. surgeon's  experience decreases  the risk and patient's post op care is also  important. the most common side effect (not a complication )is night glare. the other options  you are well aware ie specs and contact lens.
