Hello ST BRVO is common in old age . treatment includes sectoral laser as done in your case.. sometimes patient develops neovascularisation and develop vitreous hemorrhage.. i think still there are two options 1. surgery as suggested by your doctor 2. we can try with intravitreal avastin injection followed later by add on laser Having said that your doctor is best judge

First he developed branch retinal vein occlusion  (brvo) then he underwent sectoral laser.my first question is why he was not given anti-VEGF injection intravitreal? As later on retinal neovascularisation develops,which I think is missed to look before cataract surgery and that has led to vitreous haemorrhage. If haemorrhage is not resolving them there is no other option left than vitrectomy with endolaser to salvage the eye.consult good retinal surgeon and get him operated as early as possible.

Yes, you seem to have vitreous hemorrhage, which is bleeding into the eye. This may be a complication of the retinal condition you had earlier (BRVO). This may also be a side effect of the blood thinners you are taking (ecosprin). Usually mild vitreous hemorrhage will settle down by itself but it needs surgery (to remove the blood manually) if it doesn't. Since you have been advised surgery already, i suggest you take a second opinion of a retinal surgeon to decide. Dr Guruprasad at MM Joshi eye Hospital is a good option.
