Discharge from wound after fistula usually happens till the wound heals, by 2-3 weeks. This discharge is usually watery and significantly reduces after 8 to 10 days.
However, this can vary from person to person, and also depends on how deep or extensive your fistula was.
Next Steps
Please get the wound cleaned and flushed by a surgeon every 4-5 days.
Continue the medications and appointments as advised by your surgeon. If the discharge pain does not reduce, please see your surgeon, or get a second opinion.
