Dear friend. Treatment has to be chosen by patient according to his expectations from treatment. I suppose it's labrum on shoulder, there are labrum tears in hip joint as well. To give good opinion, I would need more information from you. First of all, let us know what is your problem. Who told you that labrum is torn, how did you get that information? Usually labrum is torn after shoulder dislocation, is that the case with you? If so, is it only one episode of dislocation or multiple dislocations. How did you get injured for first time? What do you do and what do you expect from your treatment? Is there bone loss on humerus or glenoid? Have you visited a specialist?

Dear Sir, I can understand your concern. Surgery is usually recommended for this condition to prevent recurrent dislocation. However a detailed clinical examination by a orthopedic Shoulder Surgeon is recommended. https://youtu.be/zv1to6wRnMI Watch this video to understand your condition.

Your need for surgery depends on how the label tear is affecting you. If it is causing any symptoms and there is limitation of activity then surgery needs to be considered. If there are no symptoms, then a labral  tear seen on an MRI scan is not something that needs to be treated with surgery. Hope this helps.
