Knee pain since 2 years

Hi, I was a marathon runner and i was running since 6 years but two years back there was little pain in my knees and after that I stopped running and knee pain never stopped and recently there is a pain in hands also. I have been showing this to doctors since two years, doctors tried all the options. Any suggestions.
