Based on an eGFR value of 33, a degree of caution is warranted, although it does not represent an immediate life-threatening situation. Determining the reversibility of this condition based on a single
creatinine value is not possible. a minimum of three months of creatinine data is required for assessment. If the values remain consistent over time, the condition may be irreversible. Regarding dietary recommendations, a salt restriction of 5 grams per day is advised. Further dietary guidance can be provided upon review of a complete blood profile. Additionally, incorporating at least 20 minutes of brisk walking, five days a week, is recommended.
Next Steps
Please do complete blood work (CBC, RFT, phosphorus,
creatinine, CUE, UPCR, USG abdomen) to identify the cause of CKD. If
kidney size is appropriate, kidney biopsy is advisable.
Health Tips
Given the patient's current condition, characterized by a low iPTH level, the administration of Laretol is not advised at this time. I recommend assessing the patient's
Vitamin D and Phosphorus levels.
