Kidney issue

My father has cretanine 1.38 and doctor has said a little defect in kidney has come because he was on antibiotics in March for about 20 days due a chest infection plus he is diabetic patient, gone from heart surgery in Nov 19. Pls suggest me what things to eat and what to avoid in order to protect kidney.
