Itching on hands and legs

I get a lot of itching sensation on my hands & legs. I did consult a dermatologist and he recommended to use an ointment called CLONATE. I apply it very often and the itch gets settle down for some time, but it's not a complete solution. Could you please suggest me of any tests I should get done or which doctor I should visit. Looking forward for a reply from your end. Thank you.
