Itching near groin region

My father walks 5kms everyday every morning. But for the past few days he is having itching and mild inflammation near the groin region at the edge of his underwear (could be due to friction bcoz of heavy walking). Mild rash but no severe symptoms can be seen, pictures attached. Could anyone please suggest any ointment for itching as there is no pain or no major discomfort??
