Issue with facial palsy and taste buds

Suffered a vehicle accident 7 months back (30th Aug19). For 15 days treated at Amri Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The discharge diagnosis is: RTA LEFT TEMPORAL CONTUSION, RIGHT PARIETAL CONTUSION, #RIGHT CLAVICLE, #RIGHT 4TH-6TH RIB, HEMOTHORAX, VIII NERVE PALSY. There was no surgery. Was treated by Dr Amit Jaiswal. Medicines taken during the initial 45 days are Epsolin 100mg, Ultracet, Predmet 4mg, Tolvat 15 mg, Eliwell 10mg, Augmentin 625mg, Chymoral Forte, Calpol 650, Histafree-m, Levenue 500mg, Nexpro 40mg, Rutoheal, Syp Glycerol, Syp Calcimax, Syp Duphalac, Syp Dyrich. For face palsy continued physiotherapy with electrod stimulation for 4 months. Now only Epsolin 300 and Felicita medicines are taken. She is complaining about taste problem in mouth while eating. Plus right eye, while was earlier not closing on its own, now not opening properly.

Loss of taste sensation may be there after facial palsy. Involuntary eye closure can also be noted during recovery period. You have to wait and watch. You may like to contact your treating doctor
