I got my perscription medication from my doctor. Not saying I'm abusing it at all. But I have been told by people that the medication messes up your body when you take them is that true.

I think you should trust your doctor who has specialized in the field than people who have no clue or half knowledge about things. It's important to screen information you get. If it's still bothers you take second opinion from a doctor who has specialized in same field.
