I am a 25 yr unmarried girl and I am facing irregular periods from last 4 months, and whenever I got period it is very less and scanty. I consulted to one of the local doctor in my area, she prescribed me some tests including TFT, LSH, FH, USG, RBS etc, I went for all the tests and report summary are as follows- TFT- my TSH levels were around 13.4 whereas T3 and T4 were normal. LH - 8.04 mIU/ml and FSH- 5.87 mIU/ml (as done on second day of menses). RBS- 93.33 mg/dl USG - Small multiple cysts were observed She (my doctor) prescribed me metformin 50mg (once daily) and duluton (daily once) for 3 months. I am afraid of taking contraceptives, but I also want to cure this problem of irregular periods. Is there any other way besides taking to cure this issue contraceptive pills... kindly help me out.
