Irregular periods and pregnancy time

Hi, I have regular periods of 4-5 days duration. But once in a while i have irregular periods. For example, in the last 1 year i skipped my periods for a month. This has only happened twice in a year. This is not the usual scenario. So based on this information, my concern would be when would be the ideal age for getting pregnant? Please let me know if you want more information.
