What is internal USG and how much should a pathology lab charge me for it? Is it necessary to get it done incase of determination of PCOD / cyst inside the uterus, or a regular external USG can be done?

internal usg is known as transvaginal usg. as the usg probe is closer to the organ being visualised, tvs is preferred in some pathologies over abdominal usg. charges depend the experience of sonologist and the machine being used. in government hospital u may get it done for free or minimal cost
