Injection site hurts even after 2 weeks

I had a fall 15 days back and I had to take a tetanus injection. While the injection site on my left arm hurt a little the next few days, the pain entirely hasn't disappeared. It hurts every now and then especially while lifting my arm. Why is it so? How long will it last?
