Influenza typhoid vaccine
After giving influenza and typhoid Vaccines, baby got a fever 2 days later. Although the whole body is cold, the armpits, palm, and feet are a little hot. Armpit temp using a digital thermometer is between 97.2 and 98. Using a contactless armpit temp is b/w 99 and 100.4. Is this considered a fever or normal. Baby is very active and feeding well. Eyes felt sunken. If its a fever shall we continue paracetamol drops and c tax o dry syrup. Thanks

After vaccination fever usually not come after -2 days -for fever you may consider paracetamol-15mg /kg / dose - look for other signs and symptoms- most of cases a viral infection during the visit to vaccination centre from others - as baby is active- watch 3-5 days only with paracetamol- if no detoriating signs appear- donât give antibioticâs before consulting a paediatrician
