Inflammed tonsils since 2 months

I have red tonsils and scratchy pain in throat for more than 2 months. It started with a simple cold but the throat inflammation did not become normal. I also have pain in lower abdomen very mild for past 3 months. Took a course of azithro for 7 days but there was no improvement. What could it be?
