Is it okay to feed infants with gripe water? Any side effects? My son is 1 months old now and sometimes extremely cranky in the night. Thank you

Instead of gripe water it is advisable to give colicaid or coliza drops. You can visit a nearby paediatrician for the appropriate dose

It's normal for babies to have colic for first 3-4 months of life, more in evening and night time. It's NOT a medical condition and requires NO medicine. Also, contrary to common belief, babies don't produce so called "gas",it's just swallowed air, both during feeding and crying. In BOTH conditions, all you need to do is give feeds at a gap of atleast 2 hours, burp him for atleast 10 mins. DON'T give feeds while he's having colic,it'll only exacerbate the problem. Gripe water has no role, same as anti colic drugs.
