INDOMETHACIN duringbreastfeeding newborn

Hello doctor, I am Ankylosing Spondylitis (arthritis) patient.. I delivered the baby boy one month before.. I am suffering from inflammation that is very painful. So, my rhemotologist has given me INDOCAP SR 75MG TABLET (INDOMETHACIN) - NSAIDS Is it safe during breastfeeding a newborn (1month baby)? I am in very much pain..else I wouldn't be taking tablet. Plz let me know whether it's safe during lactation..

Hi. Indomethacin is not safe during lactation. Please request your doctor to change the medication that is safe while feeding the baby

Indomethacin in low levels is acceptable but There are no particular studies on its safety . But it’s better to use drugs that are more published . U can consult with your rheumatologist for alternate medication if possible
