Ill effects of delayed abortion ?

We want to delay D n C by one week. Presently we are 7 weeks pregnant as per second ultrasound. However it is miscarriage and missed abortion. Is it ok to delay D n C for one more week after checking results of final ultrasound (cardiac activity was absent in first two ultrasounds)?
