Hypoparathyroidism
Hello, I have been diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism since 7 or 8 years of age. Have been on calcium supplements and vitamin d since then. Every time I have calcium and phosphate blood tests, they are in normal range. Have been taking gemcal and a to z (substitute of cobadex) daily and lupi d3 every sunday. Lately started having tooth infections and chipped teeth every 15 days. Have been using enafix but again tooth good chipped today. Any kind of help/advice would be of use. Thanks.
Check your teeth with a dentist. He will advise on oral hygiene measures to be taken for a thyroid patient. Also periodic scaling, fillings and other management will be necessary. In case of your broken or worn out tooth. The tooth can be either filled with tooth color materials or Root Canal and capping. Before deciding an xray is mandatory.
