Iam having hyperthyroidism which was diagnosed few days back... thyroid sonography reports show cystic multinodular goitre..both cysts are of 5mm and 3mm. Doctor has given carbimazole 10 mg...since taking the medication, there is bit of swelling pain in thyroid gland...which was already there before but I thought it as heaviness...but since taking medication,it has increased a bit,as I can feel it while talking...so what to do?...should I continue the medication or consult again?

Continue meditation and consult again. You need complete hormonal and clinical evaluation.

Will need a discussion about this. I hope you have got a diagnosis of Graves’ disease. Otherwise it could be subacute thyroiditis and you are unnecessarily taking CBZ. Also these are not side effects of CBZ. Regarding pain simple pain killers are okay. The ultrasound is bit of an overkill.
