2022-03-28 03:35:16
My BP medication dose was increased last week from 10 mg Cilnidipine once a day to twice daily. From next day onwards I experience more urination especially at night. Also having palpitations. Does this medicine cause more urination. Dose was increased due to a BP of 165/95. Current BP is 130/90.

Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker commonly used for controlling BP. Its a very safe drug generally. Rarely some patients may experience increase in heart rate after starting this drug which can cause palpitations. But will settle usually in a few days. This drug does not cause any increase in urine output.
Next Steps
Continue the same drug. Should settle in a few days. If problem persists, contact your doctor
