I understand your concern. Persistent bloating, excessive gas, belching, altered stools and fatigue following antibiotic treatment can be quite uncomfortable. Based on your symptoms and previous history, a few possibilities should be considered: 1. Recurrent SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth): SIBO can recur after treatment and may cause bloating, excessive gas and altered bowel movements. 2. Alteration of intestinal microbiota: Antibiotic treatment can temporarily change the normal intestinal bacterial population. 3. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): This can cause persistent bloating and changes in bowel habits, sometimes following gastrointestinal infections. 4. Food intolerances: Lactose intolerance and sensitivity to fermentable carbohydrates (FODMAPs) may contribute to your symptoms. 5. Persistent H. pylori infection: If you previously received triple therapy for H. pylori, successful eradication should be confirmed. My recommendations: - Consult a gastroenterologist for further evaluation. - A hydrogen/methane breath test may be considered if recurrent SIBO is suspected. - If you previously had H. pylori infection, confirm eradication with a stool antigen test or urea breath test. - Reduce carbonated beverages and foods that consistently trigger bloating. - Try smaller, regular meals and avoid eating too quickly. - A short, supervised low-FODMAP dietary trial may help if food-related bloating is prominent. - Avoid repeating antibiotics without confirming the indication. Since you also experience fatigue and brain fog, investigations such as a complete blood count, vitamin B12, thyroid function and other nutritional tests may be considered depending on clinical examination. If you develop unexplained weight loss, blood in stools, persistent vomiting or severe abdominal pain, seek prompt medical evaluation. I would like to know a few more details: 1. Were you originally diagnosed with H. pylori infection, SIBO, or both? 2. Which antibiotics did you take, and for how many days? 3. Was any repeat test performed after completing treatment? 4. Does your bloating increase after meals, particularly after consuming milk or wheat products? 5. How frequently do you pass stools? Are they loose or simply soft?

Bloating, fatigue, and brain fog persisting since your SIBO treatment can happen if the overgrowth hasn't fully cleared or has come back.
Next Steps
A repeat breath test with your gastroenterologist can check whether SIBO needs treating again.
Health Tips
Don't restart antibiotics on your own without retesting, since the cause could also be something else entirely.
