Hello, I am an expecting mother and I have been researching about my condition and baby’s healthy. I came across a term posterior placenta and can’t understand what it means or signify. I want to know how is posterior placenta and delivery related.

Posterior placenta means it's attached to posterior wall of uterus cavity.
It should not be in lower uterine cavity part.i.e. Low lying placenta.
In posterior placenta vaginal delivery can occur, if other factors also favorable.
