PCOD is a hormonal problem that causes hirsutism and menstrual problems. Usually obesity will be associated with it. There are definite medications to address hirsutism and menstrual problems. But the first and foremost treatment is regular exercise and dieting to loose weight. If hormonal imbalance is not taken care it can lead to infertility problems in the future. It also predisposes to diabetes during future pregnancies.
