Dear doctor I had test for hiv 1 rna pcr quantitative test after 29 days after exposure, result is less than 66.9 copies,I should have did hiv Qualitative pcr instead of quantitative pcr test? Or quantitative pcr test is accurate after 29 days? I also did hiv 1 and 2 eclia antibody test after 2 months.

The usual guidelines are to test after 30 60 and 90 days of exposure. Both the qualitative and quantitative tests are pretty much accurate and you dont need to worry about it if the results are non reactive or below the reference range.
