High TSH (7.36) with Normal T3 & T4 – Ne
Hello Doctor,
I want advice regarding a thyroid test report of a 45-year-old male (Binay Kumar Singh).
Thyroid Profile Results:
• T3: 1.26 ng/mL (Normal range: 0.97 – 1.69)
• T4: 7.34 µg/dL (Normal range: 5.53 – 11)
• TSH: 7.361 µIU/mL (Normal range: 0.4 – 4.049)
T3 and T4 are normal but TSH is high.
My questions:
1. Does this indicate subclinical hypothyroidism?
2. Is medicine like Thyroxine required at this stage?
3. Should we repeat the test after some weeks or do any other test (like Anti-TPO)?
4. What diet or precautions should be followed to control TSH?
I am attaching the report overview for reference. Please guide what should be done next.

Do you have any neck swelling?
If you are having symptoms like weight gain , lethargy , cold intolerance or constipation
You should of think if starting thyroxine at lower dose otherwise wait for around 4-8weeks and go for a repeat tsh
