I've been suffering from high B.P. Why does the doctor prescribe Telmisartan brand - Telma, when I have found on the internet that Azilsartan is much better?
Telmisartan is an old molecule than azilisartan. Still 99% cardiologist prescribing Telmisartan including me. Telmisartan is a good drug and all doctors know it very well. Azilisartan is new and, its effectiveness and safety profile is yet to be fully understood. And please don't go for Internet regarding medicines, otherwise anybody can become dr on Internet.
