I AM SUFFERRING FROM HEPRES SIMPLEX VIRUS AND SOME OTHER FUNGAL INFECTION TOO AROUND MY LIPS AREA UPPER LIP AND LOWER LIP BOTH. IT OCCURS EVERY MONTH NOW EM NOT GETTING RID OFF IT. CHANGED ALMOST 4-5 DOCTORS SINCE THEN.TAKEN ACIVIR VALCIVIR HERPREX FUCIDIN ,FUCIDIN H N EVEN CONSULTED HOMEOPATHIC DOCTORS BUT PROBLEM ISNT CURED YET.KINDLY SUGGEST A PROPER TREATMENT AS I GOT MY BLOOD TESTS DONE FOR HSV N IGE BTH ARE POSTIVE.NW ITS HIGH TIME AS EM FED UP WITH THIS INFECTION.KINDLY HELP ME

Hi. Greetings. You'll need a long term aciclovir suppressive dose. Discuss this with your dermatologist Also we'll need to know the trigger for recurrent infection in you. Would suggest u use a lip balm with sunscreen in it. Avoid procedures around the lips like threading and bleaching. Hope this helps . warm regards. Dr Govind Suresh Mittal..
