I am 37 weeks pregnant and have a cold sore (herpes simplex) above my lip. Lesion is very small.I am using acyclovir ointment. Will this affect normal delivery? Is there any risk to my baby? Do I need oral tablets or is ointment enough?

It will not affect normal delivery. Oral medicine is also safe in pregnancy.
