Hernia and pregnancy

I ve a question regarding hernia. Is it okay to get pregnant while I have minor hernia. Will that affect my pregnancy/child in anyway? And, Is it okay to have intercourse during pregnancy?

1. Presuming you have a minor umblical hernia the best option is to lose weight (if excess). If can introduce your finger into it the yes you require surgery. Pregnancy will not cause a problem Then again if hernia is small then you can wait it out. 2.Sex during pregency is fine after 3 months. You have to adopt different position like won on top....side to side...T position. Adopt no position where your partners weight comes on to you.

Having umbilical hernia or incisional hernia does not affect pregnancy but pregnancy may increase the size of hernia. More ever, umbilical hernia has the risk of obstruction.

Hernia site size and associated features have to be looked for and accordingly management adviced Its unlikely to affect ur baby or pregnancy Intercourse is ok during pregnancy but u hv to be assessed for any risk factors
