My friend is in the hospital. He has had hepatitis c for years, and has had a stroke about 10 years ago. Over the last several months he has become incontinent, lost significant weight, become easily confused and has sever memory problems. He was just admitted into the ICU because he has pneumonia related to his retaining several liters of water in his abdominal cavity. They said that his liver is failing, but will not tell me more since I am not family, tho he has none. Realistically how long,
