Help for daughter who refuses treatment

2018-04-14 20:56:18
I am the mother of a 32 year old woman who may be suffering from schizophrenia. She sees/hears monsters, believes people are following her everywhere, and truly believes our entire town is trying to do 'things' to her. She is so paranoid, even I can not convince her to seek help. So far, she is not a danger to anyone, but I worry about the children because she is instilling fear in them (ages 5-14). We live in FL. Please send any suggestions to get her help.

Kindly consult a psychiatrist and start medications as early as possible. If she refuses oral medications there are depot monthly injections which can also be given. If symptoms severe she may require hospitalisation.Dont wait till patient gets insight to take treatment which is difficuilt .Its important as a relative to take right decision so that everybody gets benifited.
