Heavy menstural bleeding

I am unmarried and It had been around 45 days gap from my last period, but then it started with heavy outflow. I have been to doctor for consultation. Doctor has prescribed Rumigest capsule. I want to know if it is covenient to consume. Whereas I have surfed internet and have found that the medicine is used as a contraceptive pill for pregenency.

It had multi effects ,and can be used for heavy flow as well. Just wanted to know if u have been having any ipills in the past or any unprotected sex etc .
