Heavy bleeding after Regestrone

I missed a period and did a pregnancy test (negative) and checked with gynaecologist. Pelvic scan showed no cysts or mass and was normal. Was prescribed Regestrone 5mg for a week, and now have started bleeding 1 week after I finished dose. Excessive bleeding and cramps, with the bleeding being very heavy and continuous. Today is 2nd day of bleeding, and I've done my FSH, LSH, TSH and Prolactin tests and waiting for the results. In how many days will the bleeding stop? And will blood flow reduce normally?
