I am unable to hear clearly from past 1 week. I had a problem in one ear since a few months, it seems to have worsened. I am able to hear only when a person speaks loudly. When my surroundings are quiet, I can hear ringing sounds in my head.

Sudden loss of hearing needs to be evaluated completely and without audiological evaluation its  very difficult to come to diagnosis. Consult nearby ENT specialist at the earliest as it might need urgent treatment
