Having steam with cough suppressant

Is having steam good while having cough suppressant. I am having dry cough and taking grilinctus. Please let me know.

Steam inhalation works as expectorant mainly. For dry cough continue grillinctus and do gargle with 2% betadine and lukewarm water. Please consult for more detailed history taking and further management. Thank you.
