Giving laxopeg syrup but not effective. Pl. Suggest if evict syrup is of same composition. She had urine infection as well which is cured now.

Actually Laxopeg syrup is similar to evict. Laxopeg packets are different from Laxopeg syrup, and that is why there is some confusion. Check the label of both bottles to see what I mean. I would agree that changes in diet are very important, also need to increase activity. Better fluid intake, but less milk will help. Finally long term treatment for a few months is needed for pepper management. Warm regards

Hello, laxopeg syrup is polyethylene glycol ,its a stool laxative, evict syrup is lactulose syrum. Lactulose solution is a colonic acidifier. It works by drawing water into the colon, which softens the stool and helps to produce a bowel movement. Belching, gas,, nausea, stomach cramps, vomiting are common possible side effects of lactulose. Have soft food items , fiber containing vegetables , fruits like banana . Drink lot of water . It's better not to change syp, continue laxopeg.
