Hard nodule on throat
There is a small hard nodule on my throat, near the larynx. It can be felt from the outside. It is small, probably the size of a pea or even smaller. Pushing on it causes some tenderness. It has not grown in the few weeks since I first noticed it. About ten years ago I had an enlarged lymph node that was surgically removed.
There are many causes for swelling in the neck and some of the causes are lymph node enlargement, thyroid swelling and superficial skin lesions. Clinical examination and ultrasound is mandatory for confirmation of diagnosis
